This three floor event, with filled with cocktail vendors with brands like Diplomatico Rum, Mezcal, Ketel One, Le Grand Courtage Brut, Deadwood Whisky, Don Q and so many more. Westward Whiskey's mixologist mixed up a cocktail called "Winter Wonderland" Simply thirst quenching! The atmosphere felt like you were among family. This holiday tasting event was hosted by drinks blogger Selena Ricks of the Dizzy Fizz. Thanks Selena for such a wonderful evening!
Park Central Cocktail Making Class with mixologist Jason Bodoy is one of the best cocktail making classes I have attended and I have been to quite a few. Each month Jason instructs you with all the necessary elements on making a delicious cocktail. Either shaken or stirred, each individual person attending will have all the tools needed on making three concoctions which may include tequila, gin, scotch or rum depending on the monthly spirit involved. Everyone who has attended while I participated, by the look on their faces truly enjoyed this class as well as the presence of Jason, the knowledgeable mixologist. See the link in our things to do section an sign up now. Enjoy!
Color Block Party- Seaport District 2018 was a blast! The art illustration by @geronimo was a full color display of balloons in all sizes , shapes and color. The Heineken River Deck was a great way to lay back relax, unwind and take in the view of the east river. The energy was so electrifying, a full cocktail bar and loads of people ready to see whats in store. If you don't know, Seaport District has really redesigned the seaport into an amazing place for concerts, movie screening, or dinner at one of the amazing restaurants. Ron Williams, Harlem-nite and Founder of The Annual Harlem Whiskey Festival organizes an event that speaks volumes when it comes to his passion for whiskey and cigars. During a casual conversation with business partners this journey came about and led him to learn as much as possible about whiskey and it's culture. Ron's passion for this beverage showed exceptionally at his 4th Annual Harlem Whiskey Festival with some of the top brands on display, like Balvenie, Macallan, Jefferson Reserve, Virginia Black , Uncle Nearest and Westland just to name a few. This Annual Harlem Whiskey Festival is a two night event including a Craftsman Dinner at Sylvia's Restaurant, where an honoree is chosen and is usually someone with achieved indelible success, a VIP opening night party and a whisky after dark (cigar & whisky pairing). Day two is a press access event, an evening of networking, tastings and cocktails. Ron Williams truly wants everyone to know that whiskey is not only a distilled alcoholic beverage, there is also layers of history behind this smooth beverage. Whisky can be sexy, cool, classy and elegant for everyone including woman. Ron has had the pleasure of smoking cigars with some of the best like Jay-Z, Dr. J, Swizz Beatz & Steve Stoute. This was a two day event that we had the pleasure of attending and it was a true pleasure both evenings.
Season 4 Screening of Power was a true hit. Everyone in the room was so excited to see whats next , or who will not make it to next season with the deceit , lies and murder and back stabbing. Courtney Kemp and Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) had an opportunity to collaborate and make things happen and that is exactly what they did. This show is FIRE!!
Mid SummerNight Feast- Festival Of Cinema 2018 was a soft opening for the Kew Gardens Festival Of Cinema which will be running from August 3rd -12th. The SummerNight Feast had some of the best food vendors/ restaurants showcasing their food/products for guests to sample for a small fee of $3-$10. Vendors /restaurants participated from all over Queens. There were some of the most delicious ices creams, sweet treats and food. We sampled a whole variety of treats. We were able to see and taste the love and commitment that was put into preparation of the food at this event. The DJ on set kept every one dancing as the evening went on. Everyone enjoys great food and good music that truly makes you want to stick around and mingle. The evening turned out to be a wonderful, very well organized and fun filled event. I had the true pleasure of tasting Scoops in Cohoots, which is a Plotting Wickedly Ice Cream Ice Cream Co. as they would call it, and they are absolutely right. Each flavor is spiked with a spirit, either champagne, whiskey, etc. and oh boy it's Simply Delicious! This event also gave guests exclusive access to trailers from films participating in the upcoming Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema along with red carpet access, Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema Step and Repeat and the Museums Art Work. There will also be an opening and closing night Red Carpet Event with exclusive after party access with some of the actors, producers and directors.
