A scattered array of dozens of mirror balls reflect light from multiple projectors, filling a room completely with small reflections, casting patterns that fill the visitor’s peripheral vision. Creating a curious space that alternates between a meditative state, and an uneasy imbalance. An experiment in combining a found object with computer vision to create a profound and unusual experience.
Thousand Deep announces Light Leaks, created by artists Kyle McDonald and Jonas Jongejan. Light Leaks is an immersive art installation where visitors can escape into a seemingly infinite space created by patterns from millions of lights and a gigantic cluster of glistening disco balls. The transformative installation can be experienced July 2 – 31 in Downtown Brooklyn; tickets are $10.
