New York City has reopened and things are happening! 

Hey New York City, the first all-Black-Owned Wine & Spirits tasting event will be happening in New York City “The Sip NYC Inc” on June 12, 2021 at  Amarachi RestaurantThe Sip NYC Inc. is a new marketing platform, the founders, a husband-and-wife team, Joy and James Frazier, are not new to the marketing industry for Black-Owned businesses.  The savvy couple has well over two decades of successful business networking events, black expos, and promotion of black-owned businesses and have connected with several Black-Owned wine and spirit owners who were eager to participate. 

This five-hour two-room event will be a brand awareness for Black Owned Wines and Spirits includes two rooms of entertainment, outdoor dining is available. Food Provided will be on sale by the restaurant. Presentations will be conducted by experts from the industry during the sessions.

The list of the featured brands includes:

  • Hosted by Dionne Nicholls of (liveyourbestlifeforyou.com)
  • Music by DJ KIDNU (Talk of New York) & DJ DON (Everestsoundsation)
  •  Special guest Sunshine Foss, owner of Happy Cork, a wine and spirits travel shop with an emphasis on community, will talk about how she got into the industry, the struggles as a minority, facing the stereotypes, and her successes. This part of the day is exciting to the founders because there is an assumption that African Americans don’t know anything about wine, again changing the stereotype of Blacks in the wine & spirit industries.

Portions of the proceeds will benefit 501c3 organization Bonello Foundation Inc Bonello Foundation Inc. brings awareness and assistance to Brooklyn residents such as food (#FeedBrooklyn program), toiletries, and any other resources needed.
