Thursday, May 13: The Architecture Tour
Exploring how the design of a structure or art piece triggers an experience for its audience. Topics include how design choices support the architect’s or artist’s objectives, as well as how their designs can open a path for its audience to engage with issues, each other, or themselves, on a deeper level.
Friday, May 14: The Graphics and Branding Tour
Exploring how graphics, branding, and specifically symbols are viewed through the lens of identity. Topics include exploring how the power of symbols unite people through history, or how organizational branding is representative of projected identity. We will discover how artistic expression of brand identity is guided through mission, culture, language, or response to world events.
Saturday, May 15: The Tour of the Outdoors
Exploring how Hudson Yards integrates outdoor space and highlights the importance of open spaces. Topics may include what the outdoors mean to people, sustainable architecture, developments for the modern day life, what it means to be a green city space and more.
Sunday, May 16: The Interior Design Tour
Exploring how design is an expression of identity. In both the exterior and interior of Hudson Yards, the collaboration of architects Diller Scofidio + Renfro and the Rockwell Group, combined with various highlighted artists, have created a symphony of visual expression that is meant to elicit an emotion for each visitor.
