The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is a world-wide symbol of the holidays in New York City. This annual tree lighting ceremony has been a tradition since 1931, and a live televised tradition since 1951.
The 2020 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree will be lit for the first time on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020. Rockefeller Plaza, between West 48th and West 51st Streets and Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Due to COVID restrictions timed tickets are only available. The beautiful 75Rockefeller Center Christmas tree with 50,000-plus multicolored LED lights and Swarovski crystal star on display until mid January. You can get tickets by going to Rockefeller Center and scanning the barcode. The Norway spruce in Rockefeller Center will be lit from 6:00 a.m. ET to midnight every day and will remain lit for 24 hours on Christmas Day.
