The Whitney has reopened its doors to the public, with new guidelines in place for the safety and well-being of our visitors and staff.Explore the Whitney’s collection of over 25,000 works, created by more than 3,600 American artists during the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.All visitors and members must book timed tickets in advance.


Visitors will have body temperatures taken prior to entering the Museum via contactless thermal cameras. Please do not visit the Museum if you have a fever or any COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days, or have had close contact with anyone who is confirmed or is suspected of having COVID-19.

Museum admission is Pay What You Wish on Fridays, 6–9 pm. Advance tickets for these hours are required.
