It’s My Park Days, Play-and-Go Kits, and Climate Week

Roller Skating + Smorgasburg Return Summer may be winding down, but the fun continues in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. Roller skating is back at the LeFrak Center at Lakeside—take advantage of this outdoor activity while the weather is nice, and don’t forget about boat + bike rentals, the Splash Pad (open through Sept. 20) and takeaway from the Bluestone Cafe.

And New York’s favorite food festival is back! Smorgasburg returns to Prospect Park three weekends in September with a new format and a new location—the covered rink at the LeFrak Center at Lakeside. Pick up your food from vendors including Destination Dumplings, Carlito’s BBQ Taqueria, Excell’s Kingston Eatery and C Bao, then picnic in this scenic area of the park.

Starting September 17, join Prospect Park Alliance for the second annual University Open Air, in partnership with Brooklyn Public Library, which brings a global roster of immigrant scholars to the park to teach a wide range of free classes. Then, join us for Climate Week NYC, September 21-27, with a range of online and in-person activities to learn more about the environment and help keep the park green and vibrant.
