Make Music New York is a live, free musical celebration on June 21, the longest day of the year, with over 1,200 concerts on streets, sidewalks, and parks across the five boroughs, but this year is virtual.
Envisioned and produced by the Times Square Alliance, Songs for Our City features twenty-six Broadway actors and composers sharing new original songs about their feelings right now that will be a livestreamed for free to the public. Participants will perform nightly beginning on Monday, June 15th through the finale on June 21st as part of Make Music New York. Audiences can vote to send one participant from each of the initial six concerts into the finale, and for their favorite finalist to receive the Audience Choice Award in the final concert.
