Taste of Fifth is one of the best food festivals in Brooklyn. Each year this annual food festival extravaganza held at Grand Prospect Hall brings out more than 40+ Park Slope 5th Avenue’s restaurants and watering holes,organized by the Park Slope 5th Avenue Business Improvement District. The sight of so much delicious food had our stomach dancing the entire evening. Restaurants like Negril, Artichoke Pizza, Shaking Crab, Pizza Secret, Dram Shop, Zula Wine & Spirits and Calexico with their mini tacos that were breathtaking.
Drink sponsors included Two Roads Brewery, Breuckelen Distillery, Boxed Water and KeVita. Proceeds of $20 from each ticket sale goes to the participating charities of the attendees choice: PS 118, Brooklyn Pride, CHIPS, Brooklyn Dream Factory, MS 51, Fifth Avenue Committee, BAX, PS 39, Old Stone House, President Street Garden, Good Shepherd Services,Piper Theatre, Imani House, PS 124, PS 295. This was definitely an evening of dancing, eating and drinking from some of the best restaurants in Brooklyn. During the nights events there were a team of dancers with such awesome moves, all in alignment with each other dressed in matching outfits. Also an ensemble of all female drummers, and a youth chorus and Hot Club of Flatbush. These events had all attendees dancing or waving their hands from side to side. The DJ played a bunch of hits that everyone in the room serenaded along. Thank you Taste Of Fifth (Carol Klenfer) for such a wonderful evening. Looking forward to next year.
