Samsung 837, i am OTHER and Significant Productions is celebrating Women’s History Month with an exclusive screening of the Netflix Film screening of ROXANNE ROXANNE, the life story of American hip-hop pioneer and rapper Roxanne Shante.
As a young girl in the streets of Queensbridge “Roxanne Shante” Gooden was well on her way to becoming a hip-hop legend. She hustled and made ways to provide for her family while defending herself from the dangers of the streets. ROXANNE ROXANNE shares the positive message that there’s light at the end of the tunnel and no matter what obstacles you’re faced with, you can overcome them.
